Julie Goodwin Spices Up the Competition on ‘Dancing With the Stars Australia’

Julie Goodwin is on Dancing With the Stars Australia

On this year’s season of Dancing With the Stars Australia, the stakes are incredibly high. After weeks upon weeks of training, after an intense series of dance battles, there will be only one winner. One celebrity will rise above the rest to win the historic Mirror Ball trophy and $50,000 for a charity of their choosing. Every Dancing With the Stars cast member wants this prize, including the chef Julie Goodwin.

However, Julie is up against some steep competition. The other cast members include the likes of Packed to the Rafters’ James Stewart and the fashion designer Nadia Bartel. Does Julie have what it takes to rise above such celebrities? Or will her freestyles leave much to be desired?

Who Is Dancing With the Stars Australia’s Julie Goodwin?

To know why Julie Goodwin gets to be on Dancing With the Stars Australia, you have to jump back to 2009. It was during this year Julie won the inaugural season of MasterChef Australia, cementing herself as a cultural touchstone.

Since winning MasterChef, Julie has gone from strength to strength. She’s released an array of excellent cookbooks, co-hosted the radio show Rabbit and Julie Goodwin, and become a national mental health advocate.

In 2022, Julie returned to the MasterChef kitchen as a contestant. While Julie didn’t win this season, she did extremely well, and eventually placed fifth.

“I can cut an onion, but can I cut a rug? All signs point to no,” Julie said. “But luckily, I have been partnered with the divine Andrey Gorbunov. His patience, kindness, and ability to laugh in the face of adversity might just get me putting my feet in the right place.”

“Whatever happens, I’m having the time of my life!”
