The Bachelor is gearing up to air its third episode, and as we slowly get to know the contestants, we’re starting to form our favourites.
Flight manager Chanel Tang seems to be a frontrunner this season, as the 34-year-old and first officer Jimmy Nicholson seem to have one very important thing in common: Their occupation.
“I love packing up my life and living abroad or jumping on a plane with no plan in mind of where I’ll end up,” she told POPSUGAR Australia. “Unless you meet someone like-minded, it’s difficult to maintain a relationship with a nomadic soul.”
Isn’t she lucky that the man she’s been set up with is a pilot? I’d be concerned if he wasn’t a nomad.
She won the hearts of viewers during the first episode as she explained to Jimmy what a flight manager does, not knowing he was a pilot himself.
Jimmy was highly amused, revealing to her that he, in fact, is quite familiar with how flight management works.
So as someone who seemingly has the lifestyle that one can only dream of, we asked Chanel why she decided to apply for The Bachelor.
“I figured that having a 1 in 23 chance of dating an eligible man were better odds than via dating apps in Sydney,” she said.
“I mean at least in this scenario I know who the other girls are that he’s dating. In some ways it’s a bit more traditional, the courting of the ladies, I think that’s been forgotten about in this modern dating world.”
The Bachelor Australia airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.
