Bob’s Burger’s creators have been hard at work on a brand new animated musical series Central Park.
In the new trailer released on March 11, we meet the Tillerman’s, a family that lives in Central Park in New York City.
Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton) plays Owen, the park manager, while Kathryn Hahn (Happyish) plays his journalist wife, Paige.
The couple is raising their kids Cole, played by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess and Molly played by Frozen’s Kristen Bell, in the world’s most famous park.
As they go about their lives, they are forced to fend off hotel heiress Bitsy Brandenham, voiced by Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada) and her long-suffering assistant Helen, voiced by Hamilton star, Daveed Diggs — who would love nothing more than to turn the park into condos.
Fans of the Burgers series will recognise the animation — as it is very true to the Netflix show — meaning a potential cross-over episode.
Also starring Josh Gad (Frozen) as (a singing) narrator, the trailer opens with Gad’s busker character walking across a bridge at the park talking about how much he loves Central Park.
“The birds and the trees”… before, in true adult animation style, our attention is turned to a man peeing against a statue.
The new animated musical comedy series is from Emmy Award winner Loren Bouchard, Grammy Award winner Josh Gad and Emmy Award winner Nora Smith.
The series is set to premiere with three episodes on Apple TV+ on May 29.
Following the premiere, new episodes will debut weekly on the streaming service.
