Surely by now most of us are familiar with a DIY fail. You head into the hardware store, confidence through the roof, and pick up all the tools and equipment necessary to carry out a do-it-yourself home project destined to improve the way you live and feel in your own home.
Fails are forgivable when the project is small — repotting plants or assembling shelves, for example. But the bigger the project, the higher the stakes, costs and investment of your time. So, if you can do it right the first time, then you’ll be saving yourself a lot of trouble.
Noticing a huge uptick in visitors to the store embarking upon home projects in the time of isolation, Bunnings Warehouse has launched a DIY hotline where shoppers can seek advice on their home projects.
The hotline is managed by Bunnings staff members, also known as experts to do with all things DIY (seriously, how do they know what aisle every single item is kept in?). Should shoppers find themselves in a roadblock with their home projects, they can call the number and be guided through the process.
Staff on the other end are also happy to help with information regarding the Bunnings line-up of products, plus hand out plant and gardening advice. The hotline was first launched in May.
“For Aussies who are not as computer savvy, being stuck at home during this isolation period can be difficult, so that’s why we launched a new telephone DIY hotline during May this year,” Bunnings nation customer advocacy manager, Steve Hoffman, told News.com.au.
“Our DIY hotline is managed by Bunnings team members that customers can call for expert advice on a range of topics, including horticulture, plus order the materials they need from Bunnings to undertake a DIY project and have them delivered to their front door.”
In addition to home delivery, Bunnings also launched a Drive and Collect initiative earlier in April, that allows online shoppers to arrange a contactless pick-up from their local store’s carpark.
If you need assistance, you can call the Bunnings DIY Hotline on 1800 560 771.
