You Can Now Buy Bread and Milk in McDonald’s Drive-Thru

McDonald's

No need to run to the shops for essentials as good ol’ Maccas has you covered.

The fast-food retailer has announced that it will now be selling bread and milk, which can be purchased via drive-thru or within the store.

“In addition to our usual Macca’s menu, customers will also be able to pick up two or three-litre bottles of full cream or skim milk, as well as packs of English muffins and gourmet bread rolls,” a McDonald’s Australia spokesperson told 10 Daily.

“Our contactless service removes any need for touch contact between our employees and customers, making it a safe way for people to get food and drinks, as well as these essential basics.”

This service is available from today, April 1.

While you can no longer sit down and eat in McDonald’s, the retailer is still offering takeaway via drive-thru, ordering in-store or through McDelivery.

According to 10 Daily, Maccas have moved all of their transactions to contactless payments and have also told staff to put food bags on the counter for customers to collect, so the interaction is minimal.

Cheeseburger time, anyone?
