Marquee Sydney

There’s a Marquee in New York, and another in Las Vegas, so it’s only fair they would add one to Sydney. Marquee Sydney has been operating in The Star since 2012, bringing with it a lineup of impressive artists including Calvin Harris, Drake, Post Malone, Bruno Mars, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren. The über-chic space has redefined the standard of hospitality in Sydney, quickly establishing itself as the number one celebrity party destination. Although you can opt-in for bottle service and a VIP section, you can also just rock up and enjoy the music. The Marquee caters to everyone, regardless of budget.
MVP

The MVP nightclub on Pitt Street is a hotspot on Saturdays. They play the latest hip hop, RnB and trap anthems late into the night. The idea here is to dress up and have a good time. They often host events that are announced on Instagram. Word is, if you DM them, you can get discounted entry, VIP bottle service, and free birthday packages. MVP has hosted some of the biggest international artists including Jason Derulo, Ashanti, and The Game.
Ivy

Part of the Merivale empire, Ivy offers the best of all hospitality worlds. Serving as a one-stop partying destination for nightlife and day parties, Ivy knows how to keep the party going without the price tag of other clubs. Enjoy happy hour specials on Thursday nights for Ivy Thursdays, and Lost Sundays—a music feast for the feet. They frequently host events, including Poof Doof for pride month. If you haven’t been before, the Ivy pool is a must and one of the best parts of the nightclub. Enjoy views of the city and fresh air when needed.

Darling Harbour
Situated on Cockle Bay Wharf is Home, one of Sydney’s favourite nightclubs. This three-level nightclub pumps every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Inside, you will find nine bars with each level dishing up different types of music, from RnB to Hip Hop, and disco. They regularly host events, parties, and themed nights, which you can find on their events page. Expect laser shows, smoke, and a good night of dancing.
Soda Factory
Surry Hills
Sydney has a few hidden bars, but have you heard of a hidden nightclub? Hidden behind the guise of Bobby’s Boss Dogs, a phoney, fifties coke machine is Soda Factory, a nightclub where neon signs adorn the walls and an American style diner from the 50s is the main attraction. Dig into nostalgic numbers such as ice cream spiders, bubble-gum infused martinis, and hot dogs. Factory Fridays are always popular with live performances of covers from the 80s and 90s, and $10 burgers and $15 cocktails.
Oxford Art Factory
Darlinghurst
This cosy venue is a stage for live musical performances from local and touring acts. Think, more emerging artists such as Joel Adams and Harper Bloom before they become the next big thing. It’s inspired by Andy Warhol’s factory in New York during the 60s, which paved the way for many artists looking to perform in front of a live stage. Although if you think this is just a nightclub, you’re mistaken. Oxford Art Factory also hosts visual art performances. Lansdowne Hotel
Chippendale
The Landsdowne Hotel is a Sydney institution serving the community since 1932. Although, most of its past includes being a watering hole for bent cops, thieves, and miscreants running rampant on the streets. Nowadays, the Lansdowne is a family-friendly pub and club, hosting events and live music weekly. You will also find Mary’s iconic burgers and pizzas here, with happy hour specials and late-night fun.
