‘Beauty and the Geek’: Meet Trainee Nurse Aimee

Beauty and the Geek is in full swing, and we’ve been loving watching all our Beauties meet their Geeks. It’s one of Australia’s most wholesome dating shows, all about embracing each other’s differences and learning from one another.

One of our Beauties this season is trainee nurse Aimee, who hails from Hobart and says that finding love on the Tassie dating scene is no easy feat.

“The dating scene is honestly terrible,” she declared in a press statement, before adding: “Never date a Tasmanian, unless it’s me.”

Aimee is confident, funny, and loves to bust a move on the dance floor. When she’s not out and about socialising, you’ll find her at home with her pets, or practising her yoga moves — you gotta limber up for the dance floor, after all!

Going into Beauty and the Geek, Aimee said that she wanted to use her confidence to help her Geek find his own inner confidence. She’s also hoping to meet someone different from her usual type, which, from the sounds of things, is a very reasonable idea.

“I think a geek would be good for me because he won’t have a criminal record, or be a bad boy who would cheat on me,” Aimee said, adding: “He might have a receding hairline, if we’re lucky.”

Now, Aimee is all about that Geek life. She wants to find someone who is loving, happy, funny, someone who will be genuine and treat her well. Will any of the Geeks fit the bill? Only time will tell.

Until then, Beauty and the Geek airs Sunday at 7pm and continues Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
