‘Australian Survivor’ Winner Hayley Returns for Another Shot at Glory

Australian Survivor: Heroes Vs Villains welcomes back Brains Vs Brawn victor Hayley Leake, and we just know that George Mladenov is itching to get his revenge after losing to her two years ago.

Since her win, she’s made some incredible strides in her personal life, from getting engaged to receiving her PhD in pain research. As the only previous winner competing this season, she knows there’ll be a target on her back.

Leake already knew that walking into this season would be a dangerous move. With a win already under her belt, she was sure that the other Castaways would not want a repeat. But as she did in Brains Vs BrawnHayley came into the season prepared.

“In Survivor, the worst thing is to think you’re invincible,” she said in a press statement. “I know my weaknesses, and I know how to use them. I’ve already been through the worst in Survivor. Everyone voted me out, sent me to Redemption Rock, and I thought there was no hope of winning. And I came back and won the game.”

Her knowledge of pain has famously allowed her to push beyond her limits while still strategically playing the game. Leake has never shied away from the fact that she is a Survivor fanatic, and she has only expressed gratitude for being able to play, win and come back again for another chance to do the same.

“I can’t believe that happened and I’m still, a year later, processing it, and now I’m on a gorgeous island in paradise and I’ve got a chance to win it again. It is a fan’s dream come true,” Leake said, adding: “A few people have won Australian Survivor now, but no one’s done it twice. And if anybody’s going to do that, it’s gonna be me.”
