Ash Williams

Comedian and break-out star of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here Australia has been charged by police of recording an intimate image without consent.

According to News.com.au, police will allege Williams “took screenshots of a woman during phone sex without her knowledge.”

In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, the 38-year-old said he was “blindsided” by the allegations after police in the Inner West of Sydney charged him in December.

“I’m really upset by the allegation and I’m distressed about the impact it’s had on members of my family, particularly my mum,” he told the outlet.

In a statement made by NSW Police to NCS NewsWire, they said:  “In November 2020, officers from Inner West Police Area Command received a report of an offence allegedly committed by a 38-year-old man.

“Following further investigations, the man was charged with intentionally record intimate image without consent on Friday, 18 December 2020.

“He is due to appear at Newtown Local Court on Monday, 1 February 2021.”

News.com.au also reports that Williams is due to face court on Monday, January 11, for an apprehended violence order (AVO) matter with the same woman who is accusing him of recording the images.

Since his time on the popular series, the podcaster has also admitted to selling photos of his feet for money, allowing his nipple to be sucked while go-go dancing in West Hollywood and is also rumoured to have engaged in a romance with campmate, Abbie Chatfield.
