On Friday, March 19, Apple TV+ will gobally premiere a new and groundbreaking series, titled Calls, and it’s fair to say that this trippy TV show is going to have people talking.
All nine episodes of first season of the genre-bending series will drop on the streaming service at once, with viewers being taken on a unique and immersive storytelling experience as they watch.
Calls, which is based on the French series of the same name, uses audio combined with minimal abstract visuals to tell nine individual short-form stories through nine calls. The show is directed by Fede Álvarez, with each episode following a dark and dramatic mystery that unfolds through a series of seemingly average and at times unconnected phone calls. The interactions quickly become more and more surreal as the characters begin to face increasinly unsettling experiences.
In addition to the sheer creativity — and eeriness — the series will bring into homes around the world, Calls also boasts one of the most A-list casts out there.
Here’s the lineup of talent who will be bringing the bone-chilling conversations to life.
