Get Moving and Explore Your Local Trails with Aldi’s Range of Hiking Gear

Hiking

With Australian borders expected to be closed until mid next year, it’s time to look for adventure much closer to home.

Winter is a great time to get out and explore some of your picturesque backyard on foot, while also moving your body — something that can feel like a chore in the chilly months. Simply don a puffer jacket, slip on some hiking boots and a backpack and you’re ready to explore hilly terrain and trails in your state or territory.

Hiking gear can be pretty exxy and if you’re not hitting the trails for exercise on a weekly basis, it makes sense that you wouldn’t want to invest in tons of hiking clothing but thanks to Aldi, you can get kitted up at a relatively low cost.

Hitting Aldi stores this Saturday, July 4, is a range of puffer jackets, and vests, thermal underwear, gloves, hiking shoes, drink bottles, headlamps and backpacks.

One of the standout pieces is the Adult’s Ultralight Down Jacket, which has a water repellent outer shell and is packed with responsibly sourced duck down to insulate you against the cold. This one costs $49.99.

For $29.99, you can grab a pair of Adult’s Hiking Shoes, which are available for both men and women. A pair of hiking boots will usually set you back a couple of hundred dollars, so this is a steal in comparison.

If you’re planning to go Bear Grylls style and head out for a few days to camp, a headlamp is imperative. This LED Headlamp from Aldi is only $4.99 and comes with three modes: high, low and flashing. There’s also a range of cute headlamps for kids, which have animal faces like a frog and doggo. These are also $4.99 each.
