In the spirit of Christmas, Aldi has dropped a collection of boozy advent calendars to be enjoyed in the lead-up to the big day.
A sell-out hit from last year, Aldi’s beer and wine advent calendars have returned in 2020 to get shoppers excited about Christmas and the holiday season.
“The countdown to Christmas is on and to help customers celebrate the festivities, ALDI is toasting the season with the return of our grown-up advent calendars, crackers and liquor gift packs – perfect as a gift for someone special, or as a gift for yourself,” says Nicole Higgins, Aldi spokesperson.
“This year, there is something for everyone, with returning cult favourites like our Hoppy Christmas Beer Advent Calendar and gin gift packs, as well as some new surprises for whisky fans.”
Wine-wise, fans of a good drop simply won’t be able to go past the ’12 Nights of Wine Tubes’ advent calendar. At $49.99, the calendar features 12 100mL tubes of wine sourced from all around the world. On sale from Wednesday, November 25.
Want more wine still? This year, Aldi is bringing back its fan-favourite ’24 Days of Celebration Wine’ advent calendar, which opens cardboard doors on 24 bottles of wine, including sparkling, white, red, and rosé. Each bottle has enough wine for two glasses and is great value at $89.99. Also on sale from Wednesday, November 25.
Sure to sell out first is the ‘12 Days of Craftmas‘ beer advent calendar. Behind 12 doors lies a different Aussie-made craft beer to be enjoyed each day. It’s a great value gift for yourself or the beer enthusiast in your life at $39.99.
For the beer connoisseurs, you really can’t go past the ‘Hoppy Christmas‘ beer advent calendar. Double the size and featuring 24 beers from breweries around the world, the advent calendar, at $64.99, is a month-long celebration of beer.
Gin lovers will no doubt delight in the ’12 Days of Gin’ advent calendars. For the adventurous gin drinkers, the Gin Liqueur Gift Pack is the ultimate buy at $49.99. Over 12 days, you’ll open doors to flavoured gins with complex tasting notes that include violet, honey, ginger, rhubarb, and pomegranate. How you mix it is up to you!
Fans of a more traditional tipple will love the Gin Gift Pack, $59.99, which contains 12 little bottles of traditionally made gins from around the world.
In addition to a range of great value wines, liqueurs and bubbles, the Aldi alcohol special buys drop also includes a fun treat for a grown-up Christmas. The Christmas Gin crackers make for a boozy alternative to boring jokes and paper hats.
“Each working cracker has its own individual miniature 50ml bottle of premium British gin inside, putting a grown-up spin on the festive tradition,” Aldi says. A pack of six Christmas crackers will set you back $39.99.
You can shop Aldi’s range of Christmas-themed Special Buys liquor now. The 24 Days of Celebration Wine Advent Calendar and the 12 Nights of Wine Tubes Advent Calendar will be available in stores from Wednesday, November 25.
