2020 was a hard year for many and Shane and Deb were no exception. The husband and wife team from New South Wales faced Shane being diagnosed with prostate cancer and Deb losing her gym due to COVID-19 closures, so they are hoping to win the $250,000 prize money in order to help them bounce back.
Happily, Shane’s health has taken a positive turn, allowing the fun-loving, go-getting couple to give the competition a red hot crack and prove to their kids that anything is possible.
Always looking to give back, Shane would love to throw a BBQ with the prize money if they won, to give thanks to all of the people who stood by him and helped out when he was sick. He’d also love to buy back the family ski boat which they had to sell in order to pay for his operation.
Having faced the challenges of 2020 and remained positive throughout, Shane and Deb are now excited to take on the challenge of a lifetime.
