We’ve Been Hooked All Season and Now We Need to Know: When Is the ‘SAS Australia’ Finale?

sas australia 2021

It’s been a jaw-dropping season of SAS Australia, and it’s set to come to a thrilling conclusion next week.

With just 48 hours to go, which of the five recruits will make it to the end? Only time will tell, but we’re sure it’s not going to be an easy time getting there!

This season has featured intense challenges and emotional rollercoasters as the 18 recruits have been whittled down to the final five. Along the way, we’ve seen breakdowns and revelations, shocks and life lessons.

Former SAS soldiers Ant Middleton, Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox and Olli Ollerton put the celeb recruits through their paces, and they show no mercy.

The shown is known for the physically and psychologically demanding challenges it puts the recruits through. For many, they’ve been too difficult to endure.

One challenge required recruits to sit in a car and not breathe, while it plummeted underwater. This was where celeb chef Manu Feildel tapped out.

In an emotional phone call to his wife and daughter, the My Kitchen Rules star broke down, telling them that he wanted to go home. To the other recruits, he said: “I came on this course to prove something to myself and I just realised I don’t need to prove anything. I’ve got a f***ing good life. I’ve got a f***ing good life, and I want it back.”

Now, the recruits left standing are Dan Ewing, Jana Pittman, John Steffensen, Mark Philippoussis and Sam Burgess, who are set to be pushed to the absolute limit of human endurance in the last episodes.

Hoping to pass SAS selection, they’ll face one of the most dangerous extraction exercises in the Special Forces, as well as an assault course only the strongest of the strong will survive.

It’s not just going to be physically brutal, though. Oh no. In fact, the recruits will also be faced with one of the most emotional tasks yet: writing death letters to their loved ones.

So when does it all kick-off?

The final week of SAS Australia will start on Monday, at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

The big finale–where we’ll find out which recruits have passed selection–will then air on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Then on Wednesday at 7.30pm, we’ll see all 18 celebrity recruits return to base camp for a reunion special.
