Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock Has Had the Reboot Treatment on Apple TV+

Fraggle Rock

From 1983 until 1987, the cast of furry friends from Fraggle Rock rocked their way into the hearts of children and adults everywhere.

The all-singing, dancing and colourful pals — who came straight from Jim Henson’s incredible imagination — were a race of short, furry creatures living a carefree existence in a complex network of magical caves.

The muppets filled their time with games and music; while chomping on the confectionary constructions of the industrious Doozers and attempting to stay clear of the Gorgs (giants).

The cast of crazy characters included Gobo, Mokey, Red, Wembley and Boober Fraggle, as well as their dog Doc and Marjory the Trash Heap plus featuring special guests.

Now, streaming service Apple TV+ is bringing a whole new generation the delights and silliness of the cast with brand new series, Fraggle Rock: Rock On.

Each episode is three-to-five minutes long and is perfect entertainment for the young and young at heart.

The first episode, which is available on Apple TV+ from April 22, is named Shine On and brings a brand-new song Shine On, Shine on Me.

A new episode will premiere globally every Wednesday AEST on the platform and will be free for everyone.

Oh, and there’s one final thing.

Produced by The Jim Henson Company and due to social distancing guidelines, Fraggle Rock: Rock On! has been filmed on iPhone 11 from the homes of the production team and artists. How amazing is that?!
