The initiative was created in an effort to combat the impact of the recent bushfire crisis, that ripped through across our lands, homes and devasted communities that rely on tourism to thrive.
“We’re asking Aussies to get out and see this beautiful country and explore what’s on your doorstep. Take a drive up the coast, head inland, fly across this vast and beautiful land,” the campaign message reads.
Now, Virgin Australia wants to help us do just that with its “Fly for less. Holiday with more” sale. From today until March 23, you can score a flight across our sunburnt country at a discounted fare that does not compromise on Virgin Australia’s award-winning service.
Some of the most exciting one-way fares from Sydney start from $89 to the Gold Coast, $99 to Brisbane or Melbourne, and $129 to Cairns.
Flights from Melbourne have also been slashed with fares starting from $99 to Sydney, Cairns or Hobart and $125 to the Gold Coast.
Travel from Brisbane on the cheap too with fares from $99 to Sydney and the picturesque Whitsundays, $105 to Cairns, and $119 to Melbourne.
And since the sale is Australia-wide, you bet you’ll find discount flights taking off from all major airports that include Gold Coast, Townsville, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Launceston, Darwin and more.
Valid travel dates are scattered across March 2020 through until December 2020 depending on the chosen route.
Encouraging Aussies to get the most out of their domestic travel in 2020, the ‘Fly for less. Holiday with more’ sale also takes 10% off Virgin Australia Holidays package bookings.
Members of Velocity, Virgin Australia’s frequent flyer program, can also book an eligible flight or holidays package and receive a share of 10 million Velocity Points.
What’s more, the sale features 10% off and double points on CoverMore Travel insurance, as well as up to 35% off selected hotels with Expedia.
