Streaming service Stan is bringing out the big guns when it comes to their new commentary team for their latest offering, Stan Sport.

Spearheading the line-up of talent are leading rugby hosts Roz Kelly and Nick McArdle who will be joined by a team of former Wallaby superstars including Tim Horan, Morgan Turinui, Drew Mitchell and Justin Harrison plus former All-Black legend Andrew Mehrtens, and former dual-code international star Allana Ferguson.

Sean Maloney and Andrew Swain have also been announced to call every play, tackle and heart-stopping moment in Australian rugby.

“I’m extremely proud of the incredibly talented and qualified line-up of talent we have brought together to deliver what will be the most comprehensive rugby coverage seen to date in Australia,” Nine’s head of rugby, Murray Shaw said in a statement. “We are bringing a fantastic product to rugby fans new and old as we kick off a new era of the game.”

Nine’s Wide World of Sports will produce every game appearing on Nine and Stan Sport, using cutting-edge technology and an all-new presentation that will offer the best possible experience for sports fans.

Super Rugby will be available, for the first time, to a free-to-air audience on Nine, with a game from the elite competition broadcast each Saturday live on 9Gem.

Back in January, Stan announced its add-on Sport package which will be available for $10 a month and will be the only place to watch every match of the Super Rugby AU, Super Rugby Aotearoa and Trans-Tasman tournament, along with every match of the Rugby Championship, Bledisloe Cup, Shute Shield, Hospital Cup, Currie Cup and New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship, plus Super W, Wallabies and Wallaroos test matches, SANZAAR Union.

You can enjoy Rugby ad-free, live and on-demand and can pre-activate the Sport package now to get a 30 day free trial for a limited time only.
