Do these men and women have the mental strength needed to join the Special Forces?
Based on the hit UK TV series, SAS Australia will put Australian celebrities through the Special Armed Services selection process.
While they’re household names to us, the Drill Seargent’s have no idea who they are and nor do they care. In fact, each person is assigned a number upon arrival and refer to only that during the season.
The course, which was placed in the Snowy Mountains after COVID-19 derailed plans for New Zealand, is brutal and intended to break the recruits. Physical fitness is little more than a necessary minimum and the true test will be what goes on in the mind.
The new recruits will be cut off from the outside world at a secret base in spectacular terrain where they will eat, sleep and train together in punishing conditions, with no allowances or exceptions made for their status or gender.
As they’re subjected to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing, they will be pushed beyond their limits.
Who will have the mental strength to tough it out to the end?
