Aussie dance legends RÜFÜS DU SOL will be closing out 2022 at home, with the trio announcing a slate of shows in November and December.

In their tweet revealing the tour news, the dance outfit promised it would be their biggest show ever, and announced that tickets would be on sale from November 9, 2021.

The group, which formed in Sydney in 2010, consists of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt with the boys enjoying a steady trajectory of success.

Following EP’s RÜFÜS (2011) and RÜFÜS Blue (2012) the boys have dropped four full-length albums —  2013’s Atlas which peaked at number one on the Australian charts and 2016’s Bloom which debuted at number one. In 2018, their released Solace was nominated for three ARIA Music Awards and their fourth album Surrender dropped in October 2021, which also debuted in the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart a feat which Hunt has described as “mind-blowing”.

Surrender has been met with rapturous praise, with Lisa Kocay of Forbes describing the record as a “masterful production by the group.”

“The body of work is texturally diverse, offering raw emotions, captivating vocals, organic and cinematic soundscapes, haunting synths, celestial sounds and moments designed for pure dance floor euphoria,” she writes in her review.

RÜFÜS will be supported at their shows by legendary English ambient electronic musician Jon Hopkins whose 2013 album Immunity achieved international acclaim and brought him to the attention of the world.

The trio, who are based in the US, recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! giving fans a taste of one of the album’s early release singles, ‘On My Knees’ ahead of their tour kicking off on October 30 in Oakland, Califonia.

RÜFÜS DU SOL are also up for Best Group and Best Dance Release at this year’s ARIA Awards.
