Real Housewives of Melbourne star Pettifleur Berenger has swapped out Louboutins for jungle boots and has headed into the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here jungle.
Before the property developer’s arrival, rumours of her entrance swirled particularly after a social media fail where campmate (and Jack Vidgen’s new BFF) Abbie Chatfield followed a host of rumoured intruders on Instagram after the show premiered.
In that list was celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge, former Gogglebox stars Adam Densten and Symon Lovett, The Block stars Norm and Jess and of course, Berenger.
Scooped by So Dramatic! podcast host, Megan Pustetto — who uploaded a screenshot to her show’s Instagram account — it looks like Chatfield followed the celebs at the same time to her current campmates.
While we are especially keen to see our friend Densten in a tucker trial or two, we’re most excited about the drama that Berenger is sure to bring.
Who is Pettifleur Berenger?
Pettifleur Berenger is an Australian property developer, author and star of the second and third seasons of The Real Housewives of Melbourne.
Berenger will be following in the footsteps of her former RHOM castmate Jackie Gillies, whose infamous I’m a Celeb appearance saw her do a psychic reading for the late Princess Diana’s butler, Paul Burrell.
No stranger to the reality TV scene, Berenger appeared on Hell’s Kitchen Australia, where she was promptly eliminated in the second week and if she’s already come up against Gordon Ramsay, Gina Liano and David Oldfield, then a few snakes and spiders should feel like a cakewalk.
“Determined, feisty, and glamorous” as her BravoTV bio states, Berenger “lives the high life in more ways than one.”
She is a true rags-to-riches story, having been born in Sri Lanka before moving to Melbourne in her late teens where she married twice and had three sons.
In 2008, Berenger started dating property developer Frank Palazzo, the pair split after a decade together, with Palazzo ordering her to move out of their $7.2 million penthouse.
The now 56-year-old is reportedly worth well over $1 million dollars and will be just the right amount of sass to get the jungle all shook up.
