Hitting Spain This Euro Summer? 5 New Hotels in the Country to Consider

Nobu Hotel San Sebastian

Beautiful beaches, awe-inspiring architecture, and fantastic food. These details are just the start of the many reasons to visit Spain. It also has the world’s third-largest number of UNESCO Heritage Sites, was once the world’s first global empire, and is the only European country to have a physical border with Africa.

So, where to stay in Spain when you’re there exploring? While the country does have plenty of private rooms in homes and apartments, not to mention options to rent them out in their entirety, it also has some excellent hotel offerings — particularly among the options that opened within the last year.

From a hotel centred around the world-famous restaurant brand Nobu, to a boutique hotel with just 12 rooms housed in a carefully-preserved historical building, these are our picks for some of the best new hotels to open in Spain late last year or this year.

Nobu Hotel San Sebastian

Set to open July 2023, Nobu Hotel San Sebastián is centred around the iconic Nobu restaurant, located within it. The hotel and restaurant are set in San Sebastián, which is considered to be the capital of Spain’s gastronomic scene. It has 17 rooms and suites, many of them looking out over La Concha Bay, and is in walking distance to all the area’s main attractions.
