The Australian siblings behind Mo Sisters, a contemporary South Australia-based wine house that blends delicious drops with fashion and design, have launched an online delivery service in a move most welcome to those of us after a tipple in isolation.

While their bottles have garnered praise from thirsty wine connoisseurs around Australia and the US, the launch of the online store brings the sale of the Mo Sisters collection in-house for an easy shopping experience that results in a box of wine landing at your front door.

The launch of the label’s online store comes at a time when Aussies need the convenience most, and also in an effort to help facilitate more realistic virtual social connections.

“Wine can act as an incredible catalyst for connection, which has never been more vital, helping us while we adjust to our new reality of Houseparty catch-ups, virtual dinner dates and wine tastings, or trivia nights over Zoom with friends,” the Mo Sisters say in a press release.

“We cannot wait to hear more stories of how people have gifted our wine to bring a little joy to someone in their life, or how friends have adopted virtual dinner parties with our wine as a simple way to stay connected,” says co-founder Lauren Moularadellis.

While the label’s beloved chardonnay, rosé, cabernet sauvignon and red blend is available on the online store, and Mo Sisters have also exclusively released their single vineyard Barossa Valley shiraz for online shoppers to sample first.

We sat down with Lauren Moularadellis to find out a bit more about her perfect food pairings in isolation, plus the ideal glassware to enjoy the Mo Sisters wine.

TheLatch— What are you cooking in isolation to pair with red wine?

Lauren Moularadellis: Being at home so much has been great, as I’ve been able to try out all those recipes I’ve had in my Instagram saved folder for ages. For me, pasta is always a winner. I recently brought out my pasta machine, so I have been trying to perfect the ultimate fettuccine.

There is nothing that beats fresh pasta with slow-cooked tomatoes and topped with creamy burrata. A great glass of a lighter red complements those flavours so well. I also have a major sweet tooth, so I love pairing our Cabernet Sauvignon with my sister’s recipe for flourless raspberry and chocolate cake.

TL: A special glass makes all the difference when drinking a beautiful wine. What are you drinking out of at the moment?

LM: If you are wanting some forever pieces, Riedel makes some beautiful glassware that really helps lift out those hidden flavours. However, one afternoon, my best friend and I stumbled upon this tiny little shop and found this incredible vintage crystal set.

The following weekend I brought them out for an incredibly fun dinner I hosted with some friends, so they have some pretty lovely memories attached to them now also!

You can shop the Mo Sisters range of delicious drops online now.
