Why the Metung Hot Springs Should Be Your Next Escape

If you’re travelling around Gippsland Lakes in Victoria, there’s a joint that you just have to go to. And that joint’s called the Metung Hot Springs.

But why should you head there? Well, because the Metung Hot Springs are tranquil and relaxing as heck. It’s 25 acres of beautiful vistas, samplings of hot springs, and vibe-based bathing experiences.

Additionally, these hot springs has more than just hot springs. It also has saunas, cold plunge pools, luxury glamping accommodation, a day spa, and more. Basically, once you chill there, you’ll never want to leave.

However, you might be wondering what you do if you get hungry. Will you have to sustain yourself by drinking the geothermal waters? No, and don’t do that. The springs has a lit restaurant called The Clubhouse.

Now, it’s worth noting that The Clubhouse offers a lot of food that slays. I’m talking about duck spring rolls. I’m talking about massive breakfast boards. I’m talking about A+ tempeh bowls.

To put a bow on this section, the Metung Hot Springs has everything that a stressed person would need to unwind.

Metung Hot Springs: History

In November 2022, Metung Hot Springs opened to the public. It was created by Rachel and Adrian Bromage, who were both around when Metung’s springs were just popular and muddy pools in the 1970s.

“It wasn’t only the tourists that remembered them, but lots of locals,” said Adrian. “For 20 years, we said, ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing to bring these hot springs back?’”

So, as we already know, they did. And it’s been a huge success.

What Are Its Opening Hours?

Metung Hot Springs is open seven days a week, from 8.00am until 8.00pm. But you should 100% book before rocking up. If you want to do so, follow the link here.
