She’s an entrepreneur, a restauranteur, but will Sarah Todd be able to add ‘winner of MasterChef Australia: Fans Vs Favourites to her impressive list of accolades? Only time will tell.
Todd’s been on a whirlwind journey ever since she first appeared on MasterChef Australia, way back in 2014’s season six. During her time on the show, she wowed the judges, won the hearts of the audience (they didn’t call her a Favourite for nothing!), and finished in the Top 10.
Since then, it’s been all systems go for Todd, who has become one of the most well known chefs in the Indian food scene.
Following her stint on MasterChef Australia, Todd opened her first restaurant in Goa, India, and even had her own TV series, My Restaurant in India. When she opened her second restaurant, in Mumbai, a second series came along. The title? You guessed it: My Second Restaurant in India.

Todd has also published two cookbooks, the first being The Healthy Model Cookbook, and the second being My Indian Kitchen.
Originally from the coastal Queensland town of Walkerston, Todd’s love of cooking was first born when she learned to bake the sweet treats that her mother had perfected, but cooking wasn’t Todd’s first career path.
Rather, Todd was signed by a modelling agency at the age of 18, and went on to have a successful career doing both editorial and advertising campaigns for the next decade.
In 2011, Todd welcomed her son, Phoenix, with her now-ex partner, Devinder Garcha. Living in London at the time with her son’s Punjabi grandparents, Todd was completely immersed in food and cooking.
Todd was not only learning everything there was to know about Punjabi food, she was also studying French cuisine during the day, which gave her the skills to wow the MasterChef Australia judges.
These days, Todd is a highly sought after international chef, restauranteur, TV host, speaker and businesswoman, and she’ll definitely be one to watch when MasterChef Australia: Fans Vs Favourites kicks off.
MasterChef Australia premieres at 7.30pm on April 18, 2022, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
