MAFS 2023: Alyssa Is Ready to Walk Down the Isle Again

Nine

Celebrating its 10th season, the new series of Married at First Sight put relationships to the test in ways they could never imagine as our new brides and grooms say “I do” to a complete stranger.

Twenty singles will meet for the first time at the altar on their wedding day after being matched by relationship experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling, and clinical sexologist Alessandra Rampolla. And we can’t wait for the drama!

The social experiment kicked off on Monday, January 30, at 7:30pm on Channel 9, and it premiered with a bang. We’ve also been teased with some honeymoons ranging from the deeply romantic to the extra-spicy and drama-filled, both interstate and overseas.

But that’s not all. A brand-new twist is going to send shockwaves through the experiment as we’ve never seen before, which will put couples to the ultimate test.

For now, here’s everything we know so far about the participants of MAFS 2023.

Alyssa

It’s not the first time Alyssa will be walking down the aisle. The 35-year-old has been single for 12 months since her seven-year marriage ended and she has a two-year-old son.

Growing up in Utah, the bride was raised Mormon and family is a huge part of her life. But she finds dating as a single mum extremely hard and dating apps overwhelming. Walking down the aisle again, Alyssa is a little more trepidatious but hopeful of finding love once more.

Although Alyssa seems as bubbly and sweet as the Instagram-worthy baked foods she spends hours creating in her kitchen, she admits she can be bossy and digs her heels in, even when she knows she’s wrong.

The bride believes that her soul mate is out there waiting for her – he just needs to be over six foot tall and he better cry when she walks down the aisle.
