The New ‘Loki’ Trailer Is Here and Eagle Eyed Fans Have Spotted all the Easter Eggs

Disney+’s Loki series will premiere two days earlier than expected — now hitting the platform on June 9th instead of 11th — and based on the trailer, it is going to be a journey for the ages.

Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as the God of Mischief once more with the eagerly anticipated series taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame

The new trailer teases some good old fashioned time-bending fun and continues the deliberate tonal shift for Marvel — as also evidenced in WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The clip gives fans more of Owen Wilson as Mobius — who enlists Loki’s help in rectifying the timeline he disturbed when using the Tesseract throughout The Infinity Saga. This sneaky little move has landed the trickster in hot water with the Time Variance Authority (TVA) who are in charge of protecting “the proper flow of time.”

It also looks as though Loki will also be making a return to Asgard which you might remember was destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok.

Of course, with the series having a strong focus on time travel and the traversing of multiple timelines, it’s not inconceivable that Loki and company visit Asgard in the past when it was still thriving.

And eagle-eyed fans also noticed the appearance of what seems to be a Skrull in the newly released trailer, in a scene where Loki is escorted by agents.

Skrulls are extraterrestrial shapeshifters who have been seen in Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and WandaVision and will be the focus of an upcoming Marvel series called Secret Invasion which stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull named Talos.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant also star in Loki which hits the Disney+ platform on June 11.
