Twitter Had A Big Love Heart Reaction To Lady Gaga’s ‘Deeply Personal’ Oscars Performance

Lady Gaga sure does know how to create an Oscars moment that gets people talking. At the 2023 Academy Awards, the singer took to the stage to perform her nominated song ‘Hold My Hand’ from the movie Top Gun: Maverick and, well, we’re feeling a bit emotional to be honest.

The 36-year-old ditched the glitzy frock and makeup for a scaled-back look of jeans, t-shirt, and a bare face, before delivering a heartfelt monologue to the audience.

“I wrote this song with my friend Bloodpop for the film Top Gun: Maverick. In my studio basement. It’s deeply personal for me. I think that we all need each other. We need a lot of love to walk through this life. We all need a hero sometimes,” she said.

“There’s heroes around us in unassuming places. You might find that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken inside.”

And, with that, I’ve now sobbed uncontrollably at least three times throughout this Oscars broadcast. It seems like the internet has also been swept up in Gaga’s emotional performance, with many taking to Twitter to pour out their feelings.

I hope Jenny, the emotional support donkey, was on hand backstage to give Gaga a much-needed cuddle.
