Have Kids? Here Are Four Films Your Family Will Love Over the Easter Holidays

If you are a parent, there is a good chance that school holidays fill you with a certain level of anxiety. As your kids eagerly countdown the days until they can be free of early mornings and pesky learning, you might be frantically trying to magic up an itinerary of activities to keep your offspring occupied.

Luckily, there are some great family friendly films coming to theatres just in time for the Easter holidays so you can while away a few hours  — choc tops optional, but highly recommended.

Raya and the Last Dragon

From Walt Disney Animation Studios’, Raya and the Last Dragon travels to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.

Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people.

Featuring the voice talent of Kelly Marie Tran as Raya, and Awkwafina as the magical, self-deprecating dragon named Sisu, Raya and the Last Dragon is a film that appeals to audiences of all ages.

Raya and the Last Dragon is in cinemas now and you can purchase tickets, here.

Peter Rabbit 2

Peter Rabbit 2 will be in cinemas in time for Easter with the release date of the endearing family film debuting earlier than expected.

In the follow up to 2018’s box office hit, Peter, Bea, Thomas and the rabbits are back, having created a makeshift family. However, things aren’t exactly smooth sailing as Peter struggles to shake his mischievous reputation.

Adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated, but when his family risks everything to come looking for him, Peter must figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be.

Australian actors Margot Robbie and Rose Byrne return for the sequel, with Robbie lending her voice to the character of narrator Flopsy, and Byrne appearing as Bea.

Domhnall Gleeson, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki also feature, with The Late Late Show host James Corden once again assuming the role of Peter.
