If you’ve been on social media recently, you’ve likely seen people talking about FX’s buzzy new show The Bear, and soon enough, it’ll be landing in Australia.
The Bear follows chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto. After the death of his brother, Carmy is forced to say goodbye to the world of Michelin star fine dining and return to his family’s sandwich shop, The Original Beef of Chicagoland.
After debuting to critical acclaim in the US back in June, the limited series is set to drop on Disney+ at the end of this month.
With a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, The Bear has won fans far and wide, and if you’ve ever worked in a kitchen before, you’ll likely be able to relate.

With just eight, 30-minute episodes in its first season, you’ll likely blow through this one quickly, but don’t fear: FX recently announced that a second season is in the works.
“The Bear has exceeded our wildest creative, critical and commercial expectations,” said FX Entertainment President Eric Schrier. “We can’t wait to get to work on season two.”

The Bear follows Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a young, fine dining chef who’s forced to return home to his family’s sandwich shop after the death of his brother.
With the sandwich shop struggling to stay afloat, Carmy’s challenge is to make it a success, but he’ll have to navigate the relationships with his new colleagues to make it work.
