Fore! Here’s Who You Can Expect to See on Channel Seven’s New Reality Show ‘Holey Moley’

Holey Moley

When international filming was impacted by COVID-19, the producers of Channel Seven’s upcoming golf reality series Holey Moley had to head back to Australia and figure out how to move forward with the local version.

The production crew were able to find a location just outside of Brisbane in which to build a custom golf course for the series, and have secured a fun lineup of hosts, commentators and competitors.

The competition will see Australia’s most skilled and passionate golfers take on the most epic mini-golf course ever created with towering windmills, fire-breathing dragons and shark-infested lagoons as just a few of their wacky obstacles. According to Channel Seven, “No inch of astroturf has been left unturned in creating this unmatched test of precision putting and stamina.”

The ultimate winner of each episode takes home the prestigious plaid jacket, the golden putter and books a spot in the Grand Final where they will compete for the chance to win $100,000 on the daunting last hole, the Tomb of Nefer-Tee-Tee.

So, just who can we expect to see on the green? Check out the cast list below.

Rob Riggle

American actor and comedian Rob Riggle, who has also appeared on the US version, will serve as one of Holey Moley’s commentators.

Riggle is known for his one-season run on Saturday Night Live as well for his appearances in The Hangover, The Other Guys, 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, and Step Brothers.

The comedian served in the US Marine Corps between 1998 and 2004, completing active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He joined the Channel Seven family in 2020 as weekend sports anchor on 7NEWS.

Sonia Kruger

Popular Australian TV presenter Sonia Kruger will host Holey Moley – a show she describes as “refreshingly new, utterly unique and completely bonkers”.

55-year-old Kruger has been a staple of Aussie screens for more than two decades, hosting shows such as The Voice, Big Brother and Dancing with the Stars and, of course, appearing as Tina Sparkle in Strictly Ballroom.

Greg Norman

Australian golfing legend Greg Norman is Holey Moley’s resident golf pro.

Norman is nicknamed ‘The Shark’ for good reason, holding the distinction of defending his number one position in the world golf rankings for 331 weeks — the second-longest reign in history.

Agro

Puppet and media personality, Agro will be making an appearance on Holey Moley, popping up during “The Distractor” course to trash-talk and break the focus of the competitors.

Agro is a long-standing member of the Channel Seven family having hosted Agro’s Cartoon Connection on the network from 1989 to 1997.
