The 2023 Grammy Nominations Are Here, and It’s a Good Day for Beyoncé

The Grammy nominations for 2023 have dropped, and let’s just say that it’s a very good day to be Beyoncé Knowles-Carter

Queen Bey is up for a whopping nine Grammys for her latest album, which includes nominations for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Dance Recording from her latest album, RENAISSANCE.

Beyoncé is also up for an award for Best Song Written for Visual Media thanks to her track on the King Richard soundtrack, where she’s up against Billie Eilish, Lin Manuel Miranda and Taylor Swift, whose track ‘Carolina’ was written for Where the Crawdads Sing. Whoever wins, here’s hoping we don’t see a remake of that infamous VMAs moment again.

While Swift’s new album, Midnights, missed the cutoff for 2023 Grammy nominations, she’s still in the running for Song of the Year and Best Country Song thanks to her re-release of Red

Adele, Kendrick Lamar and Brandi Carlile are all up for seven nominations respectively, while Harry Styles is up for a cool six nominations, including Best Music Video for ‘As It Was’.

Australian trio RÜFÜS DU SOL is nominated for two awards this year, for Best Dance/Electronic Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.

Airing on Sunday, February 5 from Los Angeles, the annual Grammy Awards have become an iconic event thanks to red carpet fashion choices, career-making live performances and truly memorable celebrity behaviour like Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker celebrating a late-night Vegas wedding after last year’s awards ceremony.
