While we wait for the seventh season of Younger to not only be filmed but released, Netflix’s Emily in Paris is going to fill that gap for you, with the ten-episode series set to be released on October 2, 2020.
The series stars Lily Collins (Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile) as Emily, an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago who unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris.
When her company acquires a French luxury marketing company, she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy.
Emily’s new life in Paris is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances.
From Younger and Sex and the City creator Darren Star, Emily in Paris looks absolutely delicious.
The series co-stars Ashley Park (Tales of the City) along with Philippine Leroy Beaulieu (Call My Agent!), Lucas Bravo (Smart Ass), Samuel Arnold (Antony & Cleopatra), Camille Razat (The 15:17 to Paris) and Bruno Gouery (Doc Martin).
Kate Walsh, who has just completed the second season of The Umbrella Academy also stars alongside William Abadie (Resident Evil: Extinction) and Arnaud Viard (Clara et Moi) as recurring stars.
In other fabulous news, Patricia Field — a long-time collaborator of Star and costume designer for Sex and the City, consulted on costumes with Marylin Fitoussi — who has more than 50 credits to her name.
Netflix has also released the first-look trailer (see below), and since Australians are trapped at home for the forseeable future, the stunning scenery of Paris is the next best thing to a holiday.
