Adapted from Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-selling novel of the same name, and starring Riley Keough and Sam Claflin, Daisy Jones and The Six on Prime Video follows free spirited musician Daisy Jones who’s raised by wealthy, neglectful parents in LA in the 1970s.
Daisy befriends older disco star Simone, who encourages her to pursue a career in music. She’s eventually signed by manager Hank Allen, who later becomes her boyfriend, and then by Runner Records. She eventually joins band The Six, and the new group changes their name to Daisy Jones & The Six.
The show was shot all across LA, including along the famous drag Sunset Strip, which was shut down for filming. Ahead, we share some of the other Daisy Jones and The Six filming locations so that, if you enjoyed the show and are heading to the City of Angels anytime soon, you can add them to your visit list.

Sound City Studio, Van Nuys
Sound City Studio is a real recording studio that was re-styled to fit the ’70s era of the show for the scenes where the band recorded its album “Aurora”. Founded in 1969, Sound City is where many rock ‘n roll legends recorded tracks, including ’80s hits by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Nirvana’s “Nevermind”.
The Viper Room, West Hollywood
Iconic West Hollywood venues The Troubadour, The Viper Room and Whisky a Go Go featured in the show as locations where Daisy and The Six performed.
101 Coffee Shop, Hollywood
A Hollywood landmark for decades, 101 Coffee Shop was used as the filming location for the diner Daisy works at. The wasn’t the diner’s first starring role — it’s also appeared in Swingers, Entourage and the music video for Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Thot Shit’.
Leo Carillo State Beach, Malibu
Scenes with Billy, Daisy, Karen and Graham were shot at Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu. The 2.4km stretch of beach has tide pools, coastal caves and reefs for exploring. The park also features back-country hiking, as well as campgrounds shaded by giant sycamores.
The Apple Pan, West Los Angeles
Daisy and Billy enjoy Hickoryburgers at The Apple Pan, a real-life restaurant in West LA. Open since 1947, the venue has a menu that focuses on doing simple things well. While it’s best known for its Hickoryburger, it also serves Southern Baked Ham and no less than eight different types of apple pies.
Chateau Marmont, West Hollywood
Though the show was eventually set at a different property, hotel and restaurant Chateau Marmont on West Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard is referenced within the show and is where Daisy lives for a period of time. The building opened in 1929 as an apartment building, but then was converted into hotel rooms that housed celebrities, including James Dean, Greta Garbo and Marilyn Monroe.
