Award season is in full swing, and today, the winners of the 2023 Critics Choice Awards were announced.
Leading the film nominations was Everything Everywhere All At Once. With 14 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and five nods in the acting categories, the A24 darling picked up multiple awards over the course of the evening, including Best Picture, and Best Director for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the co-directors known collectively as ‘Daniels’.
Over on the television side of things, ABC network sitcom Abbott Elementary led the nominations with six nods, and the final season of Better Call Saul was just behind it with five nominations. Both shows performed well on the evening, with Abbott Elementary winning Best Comedy Series and Better Call Saul winning Best Drama Series.
