Congrats to All the Nominees for the 2022 Brit Awards Including Adele and Little Simz

brit awards 2022

The nominations for the 2022 Brit Awards are in, with artists such as Adele, Ed Sheeran and Dave and Little Simz all scoring four nods apiece. The awards will be presented on February 8 at the O2 Arena in London and hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan.

Taking a similar approach to the ARIA Awards, which were held in November, the Brits have combined separate male and female categories in both artist of the year and international artist for the very first time. Among the international nominees are Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift.

The international song of the year category, which features an expansive 15 nominees, includes tracks such as Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever,’ Doja Cat featuring SZA’s ‘Kiss Me More’ and Lil Nas X’s ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’. These four songs, incidentally, are also all up for the Grammy for both record and song of the year in 2022.

Meanwhile, ABBA, who made quite the comeback in 2021 are up for best international group, alongside BTS, Måneskin, Silk Sonic and The War on Drugs.
