Our borders may still be closed to the rest of the world (aside from New Zealand), but domestic trips are well and truly back on, and if you were at all unsure as to where you might like to travel first, then might we suggest the world’s most romantic hotel?
TripAdvisor has just come released its annual Travellers’ Choice ‘Best of the Best’ Awards. Looking closely at the data from its worldwide bank of users, the booking platform has been able to determine the very best hotels for a number of categories, including romance, picture-perfect, and best new hotels.
Top romance hotels
Looking at the top 10 hotels for romance in the world, we were pleased to spot two incredible properties from Australia, with the Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat in Queensland taking out the top spot.
The luxury rainforest retreat is positioned within the rolling mountains of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Surrounded by lush rainforest from every vantage point, the eco-certified hotel is a romantic home away from home that brings you back to nature.
The second Aussie hotel to make it onto this list was Bli Bli House Riverside Retreat. Also in Queensland, the five-star bed and breakfast has a quaint countryside vibe that feels homely, and yet resembles more of a British homestead.
