Psychological thrillers are becoming one of the most popular streaming service genres and with new limited series, Behind Her Eyes, we can see why.
Based on the novel of the same name by Sarah Pinborough, the British series tells the story of a single mother, Louise, who becomes intertwined in the strained and dubious marriage of her boss, David and his wife Adele.
If we were to go into too much more detail, we may just spoil the ending of this gripping tale made more chilling by the actors that play the leads.
So, who are the cast and where have you seen them before?
Tom Bateman (David)
Seductive, deep and brooding, Tom Bateman’s David suffers through a toxic marriage and it’s hard to understand whether you’re meant to feel sorry for him.
The 31-year-old Scottish actor has a long list of credits including Snatched with Amy Schumer, Murder on the Orient Express with Johnny Depp, British historical series, Beecham, and Vanity Fair (the TV series).
He’s also engaged to Star Wars star Daisy Ridley and is one of 14 children! Imagine those Christmas get-togethers!
Eve Hewson (Adele)
By far the most complex character in Behind Her Eyes, Eve Hewson’s Adele is mysterious yet captivating.
Another seasoned professional, Hewson has appeared in The Luminaries, Robin Hood (2018) and Bridge of Spies as Tom Hanks’ daughter.
Despite an impressive resume, the 29-year-old is also known for another titbit. She’s the daughter of U2 singer Bono and his wife Ali Hewson.
Simona Brown (Louise)
Simona Brown plays Louise, the single mother who has found herself entangled in David and Adele’s marriage.
Behind Her Eyes is by far her largest role to date, however, she has appeared in The Little Drummer Girl with Florence Pugh and Alexander Skarsgård, Kiss Me First, Guilt, HIM, The Night Manager and 2016’s Roots remake with Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page.
Robert Aramayo (Rob)
Robert Aramayo plays Rob, the best friend of Adele and a patient at the psychiatric hospital clinic she was in.
Fans of Game of Thrones may recognise 28-year-old Aramayo as a young Ned Stark from seasons six and seven. You will also be able to catch him in Amazon’s upcoming The Lord of the Rings series.
