If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to be healthier, you might want to consider getting an Apple Watch. The devices, which look like regular watches on your wrist, helps to gamify your health, so you get rewarded for doing healthier things. The Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) is usually $399, but discounted 26% during the sales, so at a bargain $297. If you trade in your old Apple Watch, you might even be able to score it for cheaper. The SE models offer most of Apple Watches’ most-loved features but at a more affordable price than the Series 9 and Ultra 2.
Through the device’s tracking of your heart rate, it can detect and notify you when your heart rhythm is irregular or if your heart rate is low or high. In addition to your heart rate, the device can also track your sleep and steps. Oh, and it can also potentially save your life. If it detects you’ve been in a severe car crash, it’ll automatically connect you to emergency services.
Helpfully, the watch also lets you text or call when your iPhone is out of reach, if you have cellular service on it set up. It’s also water-resistant up to 50 metres.

Apple first announced its Watch SE model in 2022 alongside the other new model: Ultra. It has the same case design as Series 8 and 9, but its back case is made from super-light nylon composite material instead.
It shares many of the same features as the more expensive watch too, including 18 hours of battery life and crash detection. Unlike Series 8 or 9 though, it doesn’t offer temperature sensing, always-on display or the blood oxygen app.
