The AFL is finally back on, after it was suspended in March to help curb the spread of coronavirus.
If having the sport on your television — and maybe even heading out to a game — isn’t enough to keep you going, then you might just want to tune in to a podcast made by footy fans, for footy fans.
Former Goggleboxers turned podcasters Adam Densten and Symon Lovett have announced the launch of their brand new AFL podcast He’s Been Doing It All Day.
Their twice-weekly podcast, the aptly named The Adam & Symon Show, already has a bevy of fans and their new show will fill the gap in the market for a footy series.
He’s Been Doing It All Day promises to bring the wild opinions and discussions the pair have with their mates about the AFL to your ears.
The new show will be released every Sunday night and will recap each match from that week’s round. The boys will also interview a non-mainstream player and promise “spicy takes” which aren’t backed by stats.
Then, they will grant the “coveted” who has been “doing it all day” award.
Due to the fact that Densten and Lovett haven’t played AFL and have no experience in sports journalism, the show will be completely unburdened by accountability, credibility and responsibility.
But don’t be fooled, they’ve got “some” experience up their sleeve and the pair will use their passion to get their outrageous opinions into the world.
In the first episode, the boys will perform a “completely unbiased” interview with arguably “‘the best player in the league” (according to Densten) Brisbane Lions’ Hugh McCluggage.
Listen to He’s Been Doing It All Day is on Spotify or iTunes with new episodes released each Sunday.
