Zac Efron is House-Hunting in Byron Bay So Here Are 7 Homes We’re Now Looking to Buy

zac-efron

Your teenage crush Zac Efron is reportedly on the hunt for a more permanent home in the stunning town of Byron Bay on NSW’s north coast.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Efron had been eyeing off a property in the beachside town and even put in an offer but was ultimately outbid by another cashed-up buyer.

The actor was officially spotted in Byron Bay in early July following weeks of unverified sightings, and now it looks like he may be joining the Hemsworth family and setting up camp for good.

On a completely unrelated note, did we mention we’re moving to Byron Bay?

Since you are too, we thought we’d take the liberty of curating 7 homes currently on the market in Byron Bay and the surrounding area, you know, to help you enter the property market and (maybe) simultaneously find a husband in Byron Bay’s newest resident.

Modern bush beach house, $3.75 million

This absolute dream of a beach house, which is described as a “coastal sanctuary”, is situated on the edge of the Arakwal National Park and offers views of the iconic lighthouse.

It boasts four bedrooms and two bathrooms and has private access to Tallow Beach, which is incidentally the beach where the Hemsworth’s home is positioned upon. Maybe you’ll spot another celeb hanging out on the sand.

Byron bungalow, $875,000 – $925,000

We have one question: Does the furniture come with this place? This immaculately styled free-standing bungalow has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus three huge balconies, and still costs less than a Sydney apartment a third of its size.

Recently renovated with modern amenities and with leafy views from every window, this place is everything there is to love about a treehouse, only with no ants.

Eco-friendly Casuarina crib, $430,000 – $470,000

First home buyers, this one is for you. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom first-floor apartment is just steps from the beautiful Casuarina beach and is but a short drive away from Byron Bay. A modern apartment designed for entertaining and socialising, this place comes with access to the on-site Casuarina Fitness Centre, pool and gym, all situated within the complex.

Even better, the apartment has solar panels, which will ultimately save you money and will serve as a great talking point on your first date with Zac Efron when his new sustainability show Down to Earth on Netflix launches.

Luxurious treehouse, $3.2 million

This place is insanely cool, has beach club vibes and quite frankly, is well out of our price range, however, was too fun not to include on this list.

Maybe if we gathered some friends we could afford this five-bedroom, three-bathroom abode surrounded by palm trees and lush greenery, and enjoy dips in the plunge pool and drinks on one of the home’s many decks. Oh, and did we mention the outdoor bathtub and shower?

Community living, $495,000 – $590,000

This home is designed for easy living, which is convenient since it’s located on Easy Street. An apartment in this eco-friendly beachside complex starts from $495,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, making it a great entry to the property market for first-home buyers.

Living here is about more than your modern residence though. A property in the Habitat complex comes with free access to electric bikes, car-sharing facilities, unlimited travel on the solar train, and use of the shared compost system. You’ll also be able to use the 25m lap pool and therapy pool, plus enjoy BBQs and use of the ping pong tables.

Resort-style treetop living, $1.7 million

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom abode seamless blends the indoors with the outdoors via huge sliding doors and expansive windows at every turn. Positioned high in the trees with shelter from surrounding flora, the home offers full privacy from neighbours and peering eyes (read: celebrities can relax here).

It’s modern with all the comforts of a luxe resort, has a separate studio from the home, and is but a three-minute walk down a private track to Tallow Beach.

Hinterland House, POA

A home with no price guide is like a coat with no price tag. If you have to ask, you probably don’t want to know. But it can’t hurt to browse, right?

This 1920s Bangalow cottage in the Byron Bay Hinterland is the ideal family abode, though its modern amenities are far from quaint. The three-bedroom house has seen many modern updates, though still has character with original features hidden throughout.
