Robot vacuums come in all shapes and sizes these days, but one of the top-of-the-line models is the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Plus which was designed with, well, design in mind.
Launched in July 2022, the robot was created in collaboration with Jacob Jensen Design after Ecovac’s research found that when assessing new appliances, a whopping 54% of those surveyed said that design and overall appearance played a significant role in the decision-making process. Also in the survey, 79% said the quality of materials is the first thing they assess when it came to the design.
“We truly believe the Deebot X1 Plus will be the most beautiful robot vacuum in the market, something that can rightfully take pride of place in your home while delivering an unprecedented hands-free clean,” said Karen Powell, Head of Ecovacs Robotics in Australia and New Zealand at the time of its launch. “Simply put, we believe that home cleaning has never looked so good!”
Kim Michel, Global Design Director of Jacob Jensen Design, said the product was created through extensive research and that the result is both elegant and efficient. “Every detail has been so carefully considered and re-worked over and over again,” she said. “All of this effort is part of our own process, in our own pursuit of perfection.”
So, aside from its elegant design, what else does the Deebot X1 Plus offer? Well, it doesn’t just vacuum, it mops too. It’s got an oscillating mopping system that ensures no stubborn stains stay on the floor. It’s also got an auto-empty station so you don’t have to get your hands dirty emptying everything it’s sucked up yourself.
It’s also got mapping technology and two-way voice control so once, you’ve set it all up, you can tell it to clean certain rooms of your home. Finally (and not exhaustively because it does a whole lot more), it’s got a built-in camera so you can interact with pets or, you know, family members who are at home while you’re out.
