The Bachelor’s Zoe-Clare McDonald Is as Fiery as Her Hair

The Bachelor

The very first episode of The Bachelor Australia 2020 made the name Zoe-Clare McDonald a reality TV lover’s household name.

From the get-go, the 23-year-old proved that she was not to be messed with, asserting her power over the other women in the mansion.

But it was an insane impassioned plea about life as a red-head, that really cemented her place as a drama-maker on the show.

“I’m the only redhead in the whole entire house. And the rest of them… I think the only colours are blonde, brunette, then there’s me,” she told a producer.

“I think that’s exactly why Areeba is targeting me. Of course, the redhead. It’s just not appropriate. What’s wrong with a ranga? I’m sorry, do you want me to dye my hair every 10 seconds, I’m SO sorry but this is natural guys. This is not going anywhere!”

Thanks to entertainment outlet Punkee, there’s an entire transcript out there, but who are we to focus on the colour of her hair? After all, she has been blonde previously…

McDonald was absent from the first rose ceremony and it’s anyone’s guess, why that was. We’re thinking after she went off on Areeba Emmanuel — she may have been asked to go to bed.

So, what do we know about McDonald besides her passion for hair?

In teasers for the series, the Queenslander said that she had previously experienced some serious heartbreak, focusing heavily on work and shutting out the opportunity to meet someone. However, she hopes that our Bachelor, Locky Gilbert, will be the one to change that.

From Queensland, McDonald is a Sales Manager — which is highly unsurprising — however, we don’t really know much else…yet.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how her story plays out.
