Meet Alessandra Rampolla, the Newest ‘MAFS’ Expert and Clinical Sexologist

MAFS Alessandra

It’s 2021 so naturally, Married at First Sight needed a shakeup.

Say goodbye to Dr Trish Stratford (and her weird clothes smelling test) and hola to the newest MAFS expert, Alessandra Rampolla.

Hailing from San Juan in Puerto Rico, Rampolla joins the eighth season of the hit channel 9 show, bringing her expertise in sexology.

Joining show staples, relationship experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling, the certified clinical sexologist will help pair 16 single brides and grooms in the worlds most extreme social experiment.

Educated in the United States, the 46-year-old holds a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, and a number of other degrees and certifications in the field of sexology.

She is also no stranger to TV, starting out in front of the camera in Puerto Rico and has starred in shows such as the Emmy Award-nominated School For Husbands in Latin America and Sex Hospital in the UK. Rampolla has a lot of experience with the weird, wild and wacky, having also been a guest on Dr Phil in the US.

Rampolla is also a best-selling author of five (yes, five!) books including Alessandra te lo cuenta todo, SEXO ¡¿Y AHORA QUÉ HAGO?! (SEXO ¡¿Y AHORA QUÉ…?! nº 1) and Juntos y revueltos, ¿para siempre?: Cómo crecer y divertirnos en pareja.

She has hosted her own radio show, has over two million fans across her social media channels and her particular expertise in sexology will contribute to the complex mix of components that ensures marriages not only work but thrive in the long haul.

According to Rampolla, “sexual expression and compatibility are vital in building, nourishing and maintaining healthy, romantic relationships.” Amen!
