Virgin Australia has today dropped an epic flight sale to help travellers explore the Sunshine State as borders reopen for most Australians.
From midday today, July 10, anyone travelling from New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory — Victorian travellers are excluded for the time being — may enter Queensland after completing and signing a border declaration, as outlined by the Queensland Government.
To celebrate, Virgin Australia has launched its ‘Good to Go’ sale to help you arrive with more cash in your pocket to spend in the state on the culinary scene, local shops, and small businesses.
From today until Tuesday, July 14, you could nab one of 500,000 discounted economy and business fares to and from beautiful, sunny spots that include Hamilton Island, Cairns, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
One-way fares include baggage and start from $85 from Sydney to the Gold Coast, and climb steadily on less frequented routes. Some of the best deals include:
⋆ Sydney to the Gold Coast from $85
⋆ Hamilton Island to Canberra from $179
⋆ Hobart to Brisbane from $139
⋆ Canberra to the Gold Coast from $139
⋆ Sunshine Coast to Melbourne from $119
⋆ Sydney to Brisbane from $89
⋆ Melbourne to Hamilton Island from $169

Valid travel dates are between August 5 and March 31, 2020, though vary between individual routes. Even better, Virgin Australia has acknowledged the way plans can change at the last minute and has agreed to waive change fees for travel up until September 30, 2020.
