‘MAFS’ Is Getting 6 New Brides and Grooms — Here’s What We Know So Far

This year, Married At First Sight is following the lead of its previous seasons: Create as much drama as possible. While we have a few wholesome couples in the mix, the show is largely comprised of two people who are simply not the right match for each other.

We’ve already had racism, gaslighting and sex-shaming shown on screen and we’re pretty sure it doesn’t end there. And as if there wasn’t enough going on already, Married At First Sight will be introducing six new brides and grooms in tonight’s (Feb 14) episode.

We can barely keep up. So without further ado, let’s meet the latest brides and grooms entering the ring for their shot at true love.

Carolina, 33, NSW

Channel 9

Brazilian born Carolina is ambitious, driven and is a successful business owner. She’s blunt and tends to tell it like it is, especially when it comes to her romantic relationships.

Falling hard and fast, Carolina is a hopeless romantic, but things often end in drama, including her last relationship which ended after she discovered he was cheating.

Carolina’s father passed away during her mother’s pregnancy, and she says that growing up without a man in her life has impacted her relationships.

She herself fell pregnant at the age of 15 and since then, has raised her son as a single mother.

Jessica, 27, VIC

Channel 9

Coming from a traditional Maltese background, Jessica looks up to her parents’ 50-year-long marriage. After experiencing heartache at the age of 12 when she lost her older sister to breast cancer, the retail assistant developed a fear of abandonment, which affected her romantic relationships.

Through adversity, Jess developed resilience, and she likes to stay positive no matter what life throws her way. Her ideal husband will be protective and confident with a soft side.

Kate, 38, VIC

Channel 9

In Kate’s 38 years of existence, she has never been in a relationship, never had a boyfriend and never had anyone say “I love you”. The idea of marriage seems like an impossible task for the clinical nutritionist, whose dating history has been filled with rejection rather than romance.

She now lacks confidence and feels unworthy of love after a string of bad experiences with men. She hopes MAFS will be her one-way ticket to true love.

Daniel, 30, QLD

Channel 9

Daniel is confident, successful and driven. He loves spending time at the gym but not just because it makes him look and feel good, but because working out saved his life.

After a chaotic childhood where he lost his brother to suicide and was raised by his alcoholic father, the gym taught Daniel structure, discipline and direction.

Daniel also took on a fatherly role to his seven-year-old niece, who he says is his “most important person in the word”.

Dion, 33, VIC

Channel 9

This property developer enjoys the finer things in life. From designer clothes to luxury cars, Dion lives by his grandfather’s quote: “Life is too short to smoke cheap cigars.”

But despite the glitz and glamour, Dion is generous, kind and caring, who wants to share his success with his other half.

The 33-year-old is a true family man, and along with showering his family with gifts, he is also on the phone to his parents and grandparents several times a day.

Married At First Sight airs at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
