There’s no better way to kick off Christmas week than with the most Christmassy rom-com of all time, Love Actually.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a household that hasn’t seen the Richard Curtis film about eight very different couples who are dealing with their love lives in various loosely interrelated tales.
For die-hard fans, you still haven’t forgiven Alan Rickman’s Harry for giving a necklace to Mia (Heike Makatsch) instead of his wife Karen (Emma Thompson), you’re still gushing over Hugh Grant’s epic dance moves in 10 Downing Street and you still can’t get over the fact that there’s only a five year age gap between Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Keira Knightley. FIVE YEARS.
Now, just in time for us to watch (and re-watch) the film again, an official quiz has been released in the UK for the Comic Relief charity.
Hosted by Martine McCutcheon (who played Natalie in the film), the virtual quiz features unlimited movie magic and special appearances from fellow cast members.
Players will go on a trip down memory lane and will also get to hear some fun secrets from the set shared by the writer and director, Curtis.
In a video clip on Comic Relief’s Facebook page, McCutcheon urges fans to take their Christmas Spirit “to the next level”, especially if they’re “getting ready” for their “annual viewing of Love Actually.
To play the quiz, fans must pay £5 per player with every donation counting towards important projects around the UK and across the globe. The only catch? It’s not available in Australia.
Unfortunately, the official site for the ultimate Love Actually quiz states: “Please do not purchase if you are outside of the UK,” which frankly, is just a little bit of a bummer for us. We’re assuming that this is because it is a registered charity in England, Wales and Scotland. Sad face.
