Excuse Moi! Channel 7 Has Revealed the Premiere Date for the ‘Kath & Kim’ Reunion Special

Listen up ploise! Kath & Kim are returning to Australian screens for a two-part special to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Kath & Kim: Our Effluent Life will air over two nights on Channel 7 and 7Plus and will take fans through the iconic duo’s journey since they were last seen on TV over 10 years ago.

Not to mention, the special will show never-before-seen moments and feature plenty of guest appearances.

Kath & Kim is one of Australia’s biggest success stories. The TV show quickly became the nation’s highest-rated television series during its initial five-year run.

The first three seasons ran from 2002 to 2004 on ABC, only to be picked up by Channel 7 for its final season, which aired in 2007.

When the final season first premiered, it became the most-watched episode on television in Australian history at the time.

The pair also have two feature films under their belt — Da Kath & Kim Code and the not-so-great US attempt, Kath & Kimderella.

Kath & Kim: Our Effluent Life is set to premiere on Sunday, November 20 on Channel 7 and 7Plus, in case you want to watch it later.

This will be followed by Kath & Kim: 20 Preposterous Years, which will air on Monday, 21 November.

The special will feature some big names, including Kylie Minogue, Michael Bublé, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Carson Kressley, Eric Bana, Stephen K. Amos, Matt Lucas, Mick Molloy, Stephen Page, Tony Martin, Richard E. Grant, Barry Humphries and a former Prime Minister.

“It’s fascinating and delightful to see audiences around the world still loving Kath & Kim after 20 years,” said the special’s executive producer Rick McKenna. “It was great fun getting the team back together, plenty of laughs all around.”

Kath & Kim: Our Effluent Life premieres Sunday, 20 November at 7.00pm, followed by Kath & Kim: 20 Preposterous Years on Monday, 21 November at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
