One of Australia’s most beloved reality series — I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! — is back for Season 10. Yet, it’s not all business as usual for this series. The team hosting this series has had a shake-up.
For those not in the know, I’m a Celebrity features a group of well-known Aussies living in a specially constructed jungle-side camp. These celebs have to compete in a series of wilderness challenges to score meals and other luxuries. The overall winner of this series scores $100,000 for a charity of their choice.
Returning as one of two I’m a Celebrity hosts is comedian Julia Morris. However, the show’s other longtime host, Dr Chris Brown, will not be returning for Season 10. Instead, he’s been replaced by wildlife conservationist and budding national icon Robert Irwin.
In a promo for I’m a Celebrity, Robert makes a compelling case for why he should be this show’s new co-host. In fact, he puts forward his reasoning in a song and dance.
“May be only 20, but I come from wildlife royalty,” Robert sings. “I speak in snakes and spiders. I got my shot for hepatitis.”
“This is where I’m meant to be. Tormenting celebrities.”
For our money, Robert has swooned us with his voice, we reckon that he’ll be an excellent fit for this show. However, that’s not the only way I’m a Celebrity is changing. According to Network 10, this season will feature the most hideous and hilarious trials yet.
So, has your curiosity been peaked? Excellent. Here’s when you can expect I’m a Celebrity to premiere.
