‘I’m a Celeb’s’ Ash Williams Was a Go-Go Dancer And What Hasn’t This Guy Done?

Ash Williams

If you didn’t know who comedian Ash Williams was before his arrival in the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here jungle, then you sure do now.

For those just getting to know him, the 38-year-old (whose birthday is March 31) is a podcaster, host, actor and writer who hails from Sydney, Australia.

While these are all very notable jobs, Williams himself can easily take the mickey out of the current situation he is in and the fact that some people didn’t think he was “celebrity” enough to be on the series. Little did fans of the show know, but he is a lot more famous than you would think.

During a wholesome conversation about foot fetishes, the Ash Williams Show host explained that he used to go by the nickname “Foot King” and that he used to sell pictures (of his soles in particular) for cash.

Williams, who is a size 12 shoe explained that he gave up his side hustle when one buyer got a wee bit too specific.

“I stopped doing it because he wanted more artistic direction on the feet pics,” he said.

Then there was the time he got paid to let men suck his nipples in West Hollywood. Yes, you read that right.

While trying to make it as an actor, Williams turned to a side hustle of go-go dancing and being a ‘shot boy’ at Eleven Nightclub. Unfortunately, he still didn’t make enough money, but the story is worth its weight in gold.

Megan Pustetto from the So Dramatic Podcast got her hands on a cheeky photo.

Now retired from the foot and go-go dancing game, what else has Williams done?

Not to be confused with Ashley Joanna “Ash” Williams, the anti-hero protagonist of the Evil Dead series, Williams was a regular at The World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles and hosts the weekly cult podcast The Ash Williams Show, as well as being a regular fixture on the Chrissie, Sam & Browny radio show on Nova FM.

As for his private life, from what we can tell, Williams is flying solo and even slid into castmate Abbie Chatfield’s DMs after her season of The Bachelor ended.

“Yeah, yeah. I DM’d you a while ago,” he said, as she asked if he had sent her anything “nefarious?”

“I think you saw it. It said ‘seen’,” he said, before adding: “No, you were busy. You just got off The Bachelor. It’s all good.” Awks.

However, according to Ed Kavalee, Williams didn’t actually strike out like we thought.

During an appearance on Hit Hobart’s Jimmy and Nathan show on Tuesday, January 5, the radio star told them that he did in fact “hook up” with Chatfield.

“He hooked up with Abbie Chatfield in the jungle,” Kavalee said. “He’s Australia’s loosest person. He’s got the smell of lawsuits following him,.”

Network Ten’s head of entertainment and factual programs Stephen Tate also told news.com.au, “I can tell you there is a romance but I can’t give you any more detail.”

Then, during an interview on the Hughesy and Ed Show on the HIT Network, Williams told co-hosts Kavalee and Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes about a double date he had with the Treasurer of Australia, Josh Frydenberg.

“I had dinner with Frydenberg. We did a double date,” he said.

“How’s this? We had to wait 60 minutes for our meal – this is a while ago – and Frydsy wasn’t happy so he went and spoke to the chef and we got free dinner. He’s a great bloke.”
