Choose Your Side! House Targaryen Is Divided in House of the Dragon Season 2

House of the Dragon Season 2 details

House of the Dragon Season 2 is just around the corner, and this year, House Targaryen is readying for a civil war of epic proportions.

The prequel series to one of HBO’s most beloved shows of all time (Game of Thrones, in case you’ve been living under a rock since 2011), the announcement of House of the Dragon was met with some scepticism. After all, it’s no secret that spin-off shows often don’t meet the bar set by the original series.

Thankfully, that wasn’t the case for House of the Dragon, which met expectations across the board. The premiere episode broke records when it attracted the largest audience for a new HBO original series, and maintained strong viewership throughout the season. But it wasn’t just that people were watching, the critics loved it, as well. House of the Dragon Season 1 picked up eight Emmy Award nominations, including a nod in the Best Drama Series category. It also received nominations and wins from the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, further cementing its critical acclaim.

With the new premiere sneaking up on us, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season.

What Is House of the Dragon Season 2 About?

Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon gives us the story of House Targaryen.

In Season 2, Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the Green and Black share two very different perspectives.

Are you ready to choose your side of House Targaryen as the realm fractures in season two?
